How a VA contracts with a Business Owner (The Client)

Posted on: August 5, 2009

I wanted to clarify a couple of things regarding the initial process between the Client and the VA. Here are the first steps:

1. VA sets up a conference call to discuss needs and package plan that works best for the client

2. VA sends a mutual non-disclosure agreement & (final signature signed by client)

3. VA sends a proposal describing the needs of the clients disclosed in the conference call

4. Client approves proposal (if changes needs to be made – proposal is revised)

5. VA sends final letter of agreement for Client’s signature

6. VA sends Client’s invoice

7. Client sends VA access information in order to complete tasks

Hi Priscilla,
Good morning and I hope this finds you doing well! I just had to leave a comment regarding your latest blog.

I think sometimes most VAs forget the process (whatever that might be for their practice) and just really how important that is. We sometimes are SO excited about having a new client that we leave out some of the very important details. It is the details that will help us as VAs to be successful and continue to have a thriving and prosperous virtual assistant business.

You have mentioned a few things to think about and incorporate into my virtual assistant process, and a reminder to double check how my process is outlined.

Thanks for the great tips and guidelines! Make it a superb day!

Deb 🙂

Thank you Deb for your reply. Your perspective is important to me.

Have the best day!

Priscilla
